He was standing on top of Wayne Tower in the center of Gotham. The wind swirled around him, carrying with it the sounds of screams.

And at his feet lay the Batman.

He grinned, watching the Dark Knight shake and writhe in terror.

"Scream." he hissed, leaning down to the Batman.

The bigger man trembled and looked up at him.

And then he opened his mouth and shouted…

"WAKE UP, JON-AY!"

Jonathan's eyes snapped open.

"Oh, good!" came a voice from his right, and the bed bounced slightly as a man dressed in bright green pajamas with purple question marks all over them clambered onto the bed and peered into the Master of Fear's face.

"Guess what?!"

Jonathan glared at him. "Gee, Edward, I don't know…you have no concept of personal space? Oh, wait! I already knew that!"

The Riddler shook his head impatiently. "Look!" he said, holding up a newspaper. The Master of Fear squinted. He was extremely far-sighted and still couldn't quite make it out. "Hold it back about six or seven feet."

Shuffling backwards, Eddie reached his arm as far away from Jonathan as it would go.

The Scarecrow looked hard at the paper for a second.

"Nope, can't read it."

"Oh, come on!"

Jonathan sank back against his pillow and closed his eyes. "No."

Eddie scowled and shuffled forward again, flopping down on his stomach. "I'll read it to you, then."

"Oh, joy."

"'This great city is honored'…bla, bla, bla, bla, bla…'great person is visiting'…bla, bla, bla, bla, bla…'WONDERWOMAN'!!!"

The Scarecrow clapped his hands over his ears. "Edward! It is too early to be yelling!"

Eddie quirked an eyebrow. "It's eleven o'clock."

"Whatever."

"Anyway!" the Prince of Puzzles exclaimed, bouncing with excitement, "Wonderwoman is coming!!! And get this! It says here that, not only is she visiting for the upcoming anniversary of the Justice League, but she'll be at City Hall!"

Jonathan pulled the blanket over his head.

Hastily, Eddie pulled it back and looked into Jonathan's face.

"Are you hearing me?!"

The Master of Fear scowled at him. "What makes you think I care?! So what if she's here."

The Riddler's eyes widened. "'So what'?! Good Lord, man, are you blind?! This is Wonderwoman we're talking about! She's hot!"

The Scarecrow rolled his eyes. "Eddie, she could snap you in half."

The Prince of Puzzles grinned wolfishly. "And I'd let her!"

"For your sake, I'd hope not." the Master of Fear retorted, shaking his head.

Seeming not to hear his friend's last remark, the Riddler bounced up and down and waved the paper theatrically. "It's today! At one o'clock! And it's already past eleven!! Get ready, Jon-ay! We have a City Hall to get to!!"
